The First One. Yay!

So here is my first official blog post. First off, I need to thank all those who made this possible. Hannah W, for suggesting I do this so that she doesn't need to talk to me for 10 hours to finally catch up every week. Then Emily Joy, for actually showing me how to do this. Thank you. I think that's all the people responsible.
Right now I am sitting on Emily Joy's bed in her dorm on the YWAM base in The-Middle-of-Nowhere, Montana. Emily was blowing bubbles in her root beer float because her mom never let her when she was little. She says it's liberating. I just tried it. She's kind of right.
I met up with Emily in Whitefish, MT on Thursday morning. I have had the amazing experience of being able to spend my Thanksgiving break with her and other cool YWAM people. Among other things, I have:
~ Written a philosophy paper
~ Eaten a lot of Thanksgiving food
~ Played Uno with a 6-year-old for a VERY long time
~ Enjoyed the company of one of the cutest babies ever
~ Eaten Ukrainian food
~ Walked my butt off around a beautiful lake in order to eat delicious sticky buns
~ Had really great God time
~ Enjoyed great bar food (okay, it's a brewery, not a bar)
~ Attempted to see imaginary deer (Joy declares that they are real and numerous)

It has been a fantastic break. I am so very thankful that God has given me the opportunity to be here with this beautiful woman of God, my big sister whom I get to annoy until I leave for Tacoma. :)
